Fractional Technology Highlights

The fractional lens array creates pixel-sized perforations in a 5×5 or 6×6 non-ablative pattern, evenly distributing energy across the treated area. It can also perform non-sequential scanning, which increases the interval between adjacent pulses and improves heat dissipation. This process stimulates collagen production, triggers neocollagenesis, and rejuvenates the target tissue.

It can also perform non-sequential scanning, which increases the interval between adjacent pulses and improves heat dissipation. This process stimulates collagen production, triggers neocollagenesis, and rejuvenates the target tissue.

Collimating lens

The collimating lens uses convex lenses or other methods to convert divergent incident light into parallel beams of energy to the target tissue with minimal dispersion, regardless of distance from the skin. (Collimating lens only for nanosecond systems).

Array lens (532 nm + 1064 nm)

The array lens makes energy more concentrated. The pigment is shattered and metabolized more easily. In addition, it stimulates collagen regeneration, helping to repair scars and reduce wrinkles.

Advanced medical power supply (IGBT)

Our advanced IGBT based medical power supply delivers exceptional efficiency and performance. Compared to conventional systems, it achieves significantly higher power conversion efficiency with reduced energy loss and minimal heat generation, ensuring stable and reliable operation during extended clinical use.

Operating at frequencies reaching several hundred kilohertz, the system provides ultra fast response times measured in tens of nanoseconds. This allows precise energy delivery and superior pulse control for consistent treatment outcomes.

The highly integrated IGBT module design results in a more compact footprint with reduced weight, improving overall system reliability while supporting high power demands.

Advanced Operating and Cooling Systems

The system utilizes an integrated liquid-cooled thermal management architecture engineered to maintain stable performance during continuous high-power operation. Heat is efficiently transferred from critical internal components through a closed-loop liquid cooling circuit to a high-efficiency radiator featuring precision-machined copper fin structures.

The liquid medium enables rapid and uniform heat extraction, while copper’s high thermal conductivity maximizes thermal exchange at the radiator level. This design ensures consistent temperature control across demanding treatment cycles and extended use.

By actively regulating thermal load at the source, the system minimizes heat accumulation, reduces stress on electronic and optical components, and enhances overall system stability. The result is improved performance consistency, quieter operation, and extended service life in clinical environments.

PicoFusion HS-298N Details

Picosecond lasers are considered superior because they deliver energy in extremely short bursts—measured in trillionths of a second—allowing them to create powerful photoacoustic effects instead of relying primarily on heat. This rapid pressure-wave mechanism shatters pigment into much finer particles than nanosecond lasers, making removal of tattoos and pigmented lesions faster, more efficient, and achievable in fewer sessions. The reduced reliance on thermal energy also means significantly less risk of collateral damage to surrounding tissues, which is especially important when treating darker skin types or heat-sensitive conditions like melasma.

Another major advantage of picosecond technology is its ability to create Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) when paired with fractional handpieces like MLA or DOE lenses. These lenses focus energy into precise micro-injury points within the dermis without breaking the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen and elastin remodeling from the inside out. This unique non-ablative approach allows providers to treat acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, and overall skin texture with minimal downtime, while achieving results that traditionally required ablative lasers.

Picosecond lasers also stand out for their versatility and safety across multiple wavelengths, typically offering 532 nm and 1064 nm options to address pigment at various skin depths and colors. Their combination of deeper penetration, higher peak power, and lower heat dispersion leads to clearer, smoother skin with less discomfort and faster healing. Whether for tattoo removal, pigmentation correction, or collagen stimulation, picosecond platforms consistently deliver more predictable, high-quality outcomes, making them a preferred choice in modern aesthetic medicine.

Ratings and Reviews

Michael S. – Los Angeles, CA
(5/5) stars
I flew to Miami Dermatology after years of wanting my old neck tattoo removed, and I’m relieved I finally did. They explained that they were going to utilize the PicoVive device for my treatment. The tattoo started fading faster than I expected. The treatment was totally manageable, and I’m happy to see it get lighter with each visit.
