1550 nm & hair-growth research

The 1550 nm configuration of Apolo One is an option to discuss when evaluating fractional laser scalp care. Non-ablative fractional lasers create microscopic zones of controlled heating. The resulting repair response may support the environment around existing follicles and their growth phase; the exact mechanism remains under study.

Small studies of 1550 nm erbium-glass lasers have reported improvements in hair density and thickness, including when combined with minoxidil. These are wavelength-level findings, not clinical proof for this specific device or confirmation of a cleared hair-regrowth indication. Confirm the supplied handpiece, labeling and suitability with a qualified clinician.

Modal Id "more-details-2"

The Apolo One is a comprehensive, multi-modality aesthetic platform engineered to provide safe, effective, and comfortable treatment solutions across a broad range of clinical indications. Integrating an extensive suite of advanced technologies—including IPL, Er:YAG, 1540 ER Glass, 1064 nm long-pulse, Diode laser, 1064/532 nm 7-joint articulating-arm Q-switch, 1064/532 nm microbeam Q-switch, and 1550/1927 nm Er Fiber laser—the system enables precise energy delivery tailored to diverse therapeutic needs.

mult function

Designed with enhanced cooling capabilities and intuitive smart-program controls, Apolo One supports efficient workflow while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. Its specialized handpieces facilitate highly targeted applications, from permanent hair reduction to comprehensive skin rejuvenation, ensuring consistent treatment performance, reduced discomfort, and superior clinical outcomes with every session.

Advanced medical power supply (IGBT)

Our advanced IGBT based medical power supply delivers exceptional efficiency and performance. Compared to conventional systems, it achieves significantly higher power conversion efficiency with reduced energy loss and minimal heat generation, ensuring stable and reliable operation during extended clinical use.

Operating at frequencies reaching several hundred kilohertz, the system provides ultra fast response times measured in tens of nanoseconds. This allows precise energy delivery and superior pulse control for consistent treatment outcomes.

The highly integrated IGBT module design results in a more compact footprint with reduced weight, improving overall system reliability while supporting high power demands.

Advanced Operating and Cooling Systems

The system utilizes an integrated liquid-cooled thermal management architecture engineered to maintain stable performance during continuous high-power operation. Heat is efficiently transferred from critical internal components through a closed-loop liquid cooling circuit to a high-efficiency radiator featuring precision-machined copper fin structures.

The liquid medium enables rapid and uniform heat extraction, while copper’s high thermal conductivity maximizes thermal exchange at the radiator level. This design ensures consistent temperature control across demanding treatment cycles and extended use.

By actively regulating thermal load at the source, the system minimizes heat accumulation, reduces stress on electronic and optical components, and enhances overall system stability. The result is improved performance consistency, quieter operation, and extended service life in clinical environments.

Inside our Nd:YAG technology

Engineered for Optical Performance

For North American DevicesThe premium crystal and quartz-cavity specifications described below apply to our North American device configurations.

Illustration of a polished Nd single-crystal laser rod on a white background
Crystal rod illustration

Premium Czochralski-Grown Nd Crystal

Our North American Nd laser systems use high-optical-quality Nd single-crystal rods grown using the Czochralski process in an induction-heated iridium crucible.

Crystal quality & beam performance

Carefully controlled crystal growth helps achieve high Nd³⁺ dopant uniformity, excellent optical homogeneity, low internal stress and reduced wavefront distortion. These characteristics are important for maintaining consistent laser propagation through the gain medium and supporting a clean, stable beam with uniform energy distribution across the treatment spot.

We also specify our own optical coating requirements to support long-term durability and consistent optical performance in our North American Nd laser systems.

Rather than selecting laser rods based solely on cost, we specify higher-grade crystals for their optical quality, consistency and ability to withstand the high peak-energy demands of Q-switched and picosecond Nd systems.

Quartz flow-tube illustration

Precision Quartz Laser Cavity

Our North American Nd platforms utilize a precision quartz flow-tube and laser-cavity architecture selected for its high optical transmission, thermal stability and resistance to thermal shock.

Cooling, pumping & output stability

The quartz assembly helps isolate and cool the Nd crystal while allowing efficient transmission of pump energy from the flashlamp. Combined with optimized cavity geometry and cooling, this helps maintain stable operating temperatures, consistent pumping of the crystal and repeatable laser output during high-energy operation.

The result is a laser head engineered around beam quality, energy stability and long-term optical performance, rather than simply minimizing component cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What products are safe for my face after a laser treatment?

After your laser treatment, avoid strong skincare products like retinoids, chemical peels, exfoliating scrubs, benzoyl peroxide, and harsh bleaching creams. Also, skip fragranced or alcohol-based products. Stick to gentle, soothing, and hydrating skincare until your skin heals.

What should I avoid after a Laser Treatment?

Is patient numbing cream or anesthesia required?

How easy is it to switch handpieces?

Who cannot receive treatments?

How does the laser target specific spots without damaging surrounding areas?

What is the typical downtime between each laser session?

How are treatment settings selected for different Fitzpatrick skin types?

Are treatment results permanent?

Which technologies can be configured on Apolo One?

The specification page lists Nd:YAG, Er:YAG, fractional Er:Glass, 1550/1927 nm, diode laser and IPL options. Your quotation should identify the installed modules, handpieces and accessories so the platform matches the services you plan to offer.

Does every Apolo One include every handpiece shown?

Handpiece availability depends on the purchased configuration. Ask for an itemized equipment list covering each module, lens, tip and cooling accessory; photographs and the full option list do not define the contents of an individual package.

How should I choose between Apolo One and a dedicated device?

Apolo One brings several technologies into one platform. Compare the modules you need, room space, operator training and appointment schedule with a dedicated system. A single shared platform also needs to fit the way your practice schedules different services.

Can my practice add more technologies later?

Discuss future expansion when planning the initial configuration. Apolomed can confirm which additional modules are compatible with the specific system offered, together with installation and training requirements. Do not assume every option can be added to every unit.

What should I prepare before Apolo One is installed?

The listed system weighs 130 kg and measures 91.8 × 45.5 × 193 cm. Check delivery access, room layout and space for handpieces, and obtain the electrical and cooling requirements for your exact configuration before installation.
